Sandi Sirocco is a London-based four piece Electropop / Electrodisco band formed in Spring 2009. They evoke the spirit of lost mythology like Discotheque sirens and sunburnt sailors riding a sensual electronic pulse of sandstorms and Mediterranean steam. On the surface their sound updates the vibrating rhythms of Computer Disco and Synthpop with the crispness of modern Electro and RnB. Mixing the sound of Moby-Dick Records, Giorgio Moroder, Jacno, Chrisma and Abba with contemporary influences like the Knife, J.U.S.T.I.C.E., Timbaland, Dr Dre and OutKast. Their melodies steal the emotion and structure of 1960s and 1970s European Pop divas like Mina and Patty Pravo whose lineage derives through Classical composers from Wagner to Bach, as well as hints of Eastern divas from Googoosh to Fairuz.

With Chicagoan producer Lambox, real name Chris Lambrecht, responsible for some of my recent favorite tracks, I decided I’d see if I could have a quick chat with him, too see what gets him ticking and also to see what he’s got lined up for the future. He kindly agreed, and without further ado I’ll let him introduce himself.
Feral Party Kids: Tell us a bit about yourself…
Chris Lambrecht: I’m a 20 year old college student, and I live about 40 miles west of Chicago. I got into producing electronic music when I was 16, and since then it’s really been something of an addiction. I really love it. My real name is Chris, and the name “Lambox” basically started off as something stupid that I used, but for whatever reason, the name stuck.
FPK: What have you been up to? Any projects or remixes in the works?
CL: I don’t want to name any specifics, but I have a handful of projects that I’ve been working on.
FPK: The main genre your music fits into is dubstep. Why did you choose to make this style of music? And when did you start to hear it? (It originated in Croydon, London (UK))

Wonderland, named after “Through the looking Glass” by Lewis Carroll, is a newly established jewelry and accessories line founded and created by Lauren Remesi. The story of Alice and friends was a big artistic influence when creating the line. As an adult I was always fascinated by the hidden themes and motifs in this story: The tragic and inevitable loss of childhood innocence; life as a meaningless puzzle; death as a constant and underlying menace; curious, nonsense, and confusing language; subversion; and dream.
Inspired by Alice’s and my love for music and art, I created an eclectic line of jewelry and accessories to encourage girls to be unique and enhance their individualities.
I must say I haven’t seen anything like this in awhile,Lauren Remesi is Bananas on her design, and craftsmanship of these pieces. I got the chance to see some of her pieces in person and these things are flawless. With the antique feel and fairy tale themes these things would be a compliment to any fashionable females outfit. With Christmas around the corner these dope pieces would make a great gift for any loved one. So for now support your fellow local artist by spreading the word and getting on this stuff. You can purchase these pieces directly from Lauren.
